The International Flann O’Brien Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Maebh Long (University of Waikato) as the society’s new President. Dr Long is the author of the award-winning Assembling Flann O'Brien, the editor of the award-winning Collected Letters of Flann O'Brien, and a general editor of The Parish Review: Journal of Flann O’Brien Studies.

Everyone at IFOBS would like to offer our sincere and heartfelt thanks to outgoing President Paul Fagan, who is stepping down from the position after 13 years at the helm. As the co-founder of IFOBS, Paul has overseen society conferences in Vienna, Rome, Prague, Salzburg, Dublin, Boston and Cluj, the founding of the society’s open-access journal, and co-edited five Flann O’Brien themed collections of essays with Cork University Press.

We're excited for this next chapter in the society's history! Subscribe to our newsletter (newsletter.ifobs@gmail.com) or return to this news page for future IFOBS events and announcements.
